GaffGuessr drops you into a Google Street View somewhere in England, Wales, or Ireland. Your job: guess what the nearby house sold for. Simple idea, surprisingly addictive.

Five rounds, thirty seconds each, a thousand points up for grabs. Scoring rewards accuracy — the closer your guess to the actual sale price, the more points you earn.

England & Wales: Sale prices come from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, covering every residential transaction. Published monthly under the Open Government Licence.

Ireland: Data from the PSRA Property Price Register, covering all residential sales since 2010.

Each round is worth up to 200 points. Scoring uses a Gaussian decay based on percentage error:

score = 200 × e^{-(error/15)²}

Within 5%? Roughly 195 points. Off by 30%? About 73. Off by half? Basically nothing.
